Landscape Breakdown

My landscape breakdown will consist of beautiful attractions immersed in an open nice sized space. My land will first greet all guests and visitors with a large “Welcome to Neonland” sign at the entrance of the space, which will be designed with neon color lights similar to the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign. From the entrance of the park you will have a great view of our main attraction from a far because the ride will have great height which helps with visibility and will attract more visitors. If you have not been to the park before, this will help you with a decision on which direction you may want to start from or work your way towards. Along the entrance you will see space for an outdoor performance venue, along with a nice size cubed-shaped digital art gallery. The outside of this digital gallery will look rather simple basic plain style, that reads “Digital Gallery” on all sides, the entrance/front which will be glass for “see thru” purposes.  Other things you may see are nature things like bushes, plants and a water fountain to add a little nature to the park.

Neonland will feature two roller coasters, one dark ride, one carousel ride, a Ferris wheel, a digital art gallery, an open performance venue for entertainment, and other small attractions. There will be a carousel and a slower ride attraction placed between the two main attractions, one on each side to create a balance between the main attractions. The land is shaped like a horizontal letter “C” and will read from left to right.  Starting from the far left, the first ride will be “Neon Matrix” the dark ride followed by the “Pump Up the Volume” carousel. I chose to put the “Pump Up the Volume” carousel next to “Neon Matrix” because the carousel will add more color theme to the park by having neon color standout next to something so dark. Next is the main attraction roller coaster, “Sensations of Color” which is displayed in the center of the land almost parallel behind the “Neonland” entrance sign. The location of this ride is key because this is the main roller coaster attraction, so when you see the sign or walk into the land this is the first thing you see.  The color scheme you will see on the ride mixed with the excitement and screams will make you feel a part of the land.

The next attraction is “Tie Dye Lane” which is another roller coaster. This ride will also illustrate a lot of color expressions and themes which works great with the roller coaster “Sensations of Color” because of its bright neon colors mixed with the “tie dye” like theme.  Those two roller coasters balance well together because of what both rides bring to the table, color and excitement. After “Tie Dye Lane,” my next attraction will be “The Color Wheel “Ferris Wheel. This Ferris Wheel will be located on the far right at the front, the opposite end of “Neon Matrix.” Everything in Neonland we wanted to make relatively large and colorful to make sure it is as visible and creative as possible. I have mixed smaller attractions next to huge attractions to balance out the space of the park and to have interactions between your destinations. Next to the Ferris wheel we will also have a space for caricature drawings and painting for visitors to add more excitement to this exciting adventure. The caricature drawings will look great next to the Ferris Wheel because that is a slower/relaxing ride that accompanies couples, friends, etc. so right after you finish the Ferris Wheel you can get a picture as well. The park will also have huge theming objects placed around the park such as neon tubes, crayons, and paint brushes with paint on them. We chose this theming because as you walk around the land we want to remind you of the neon colorful experience and want you to feel a part of something unique. We will also have a total of three large public restroom spaces, two dining services, and three gift shops located inside the land which will be divided into two so each side has the same balance of utilities as the other.

Ride Breakdown

In Neonland you will travel and see many explorations of color. You will see how color has changed overtime and how it has changed with technology.  This experience is for children and adults with the imagination of living in a color reality.  This land welcomes all types of creatives, fun people, tech fans, and digital fans who enjoy the thrill of entertainment. I will display three E- ticket attractions and two additional attractions in my land. My three E-ticket attractions are “Sensations of Color,” “Neon Matrix” and “Tie Dye Lane.” My two additional attractions are “Pump Up the Volume” and “The Color Wheel.”

The ride, “Sensations of Color” is a roller coaster ride full of physical thrill and excitement. This is system driven design ride consist of many twists, dips, loops and speed while looking at color at the speed of light. The ride will be decorated with neon color tubes to emphasize that colorful travel like experience. You will also be able to personalize your seating color to whatever color you want, this is not only to enhance your personal experience but is a good attraction for other viewers to see from a far who may want to join. There will be 4 seats to each row and each seating has a neon color option which you would like to ride in. You will also have an option to showcase your neon color tube sticks for excitement and theme purposes.

My next attraction in Neonland is called “Neon Matrix.” This is an adventurous dark ride that will take you on a mission through a dark space. This ride will take place inside a building that is dark city line on the inside with little to no light at all. There will be a “matrix-type” theming based off of the movie “The Matrix” which displays a lot of neon green for future digital purposes. The neon green color will stand out perfectly due to the dark backgrounds and will have theming such as numbers, codes and so on displayed on walls inside the space. This is a story driven design based off the matrix. This ride is a dark coaster archetype and will have 3-d glasses with the intention of portraying a futuristic digital experience. You will be seated in futuristic type cars which plays into the theme.

Last but not least, my last E-attraction is called “Tie Dye Lane.” This ride focuses on thrill and excitement with a prize that comes with it. “Tie Dye Land,” is a roller coaster ride that with minor twists and loops but focuses on speed. The main attraction of this ride is that you will have created a tie dye shirt in the process. You will have the option of purchasing a tie dye t shirt before you get on the ride. These t shirts are good for family members or groups of people that ride together or singular. You will receive the tie dye experience and have a chance to showcase your t shirt on the ride with a photo that will be taken while you’re on the ride. This experience is fun similar to the “Pompeii” at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and creates a lot of great memories for our visitors.

My other two additional attractions will be a carousel,  named “Pump Up the Volume” and a Ferris wheel named “The Color Wheel.” The carousel “Pump Up the Volume” will consists of constant up and down motion like a “volume” indicator. This is similar to what you see on Bluetooth radios or music speakers which consists of neon colors. Each bar/seating will have its own color and a headphone option which allows you to listen to music in your space and increase playing volumes as you ride. This is a kiddie attraction and a system driven design similar to a pony carousel at carnivals but on a larger scale. My other attraction is “The Color Wheel,” which is similar to the system driven design Ferris wheel but with color. This ride will go in a slow-circular motion like a Ferris wheel but you will be able to personalize your color of seating. Neon color tubes will be placed on the inside of the seats and reflect on the outside to give the wheel a nice effect. Both attractions are great places for younger kids to enjoy and not miss out on the Neonland experience.

Merchandising Breakdown

My overall approach on the merchandising when it comes to “Neonland” is to remind you of an experience that only “Neonland” could offer. In this land we have various items that we offer at the point of purchase which will leave you with a great memory experience. With these items I want to leave a reminder of your experience and how memorable your adventure was. We want to create things that you can view at your home, wear proudly on your back, wear outside the house, and show your family about the great time you had. The four distinct merchandising items that are based on my overall land theme are tie dye t-shirts, neon color tube sticks, caricature drawings, and painting merchandise. The tie dye shirts are a merchandising item from the roller coaster, “Tie Dye Land” that you will have forever and dedicated to a roller coaster. You will have the option of purchasing a tie dye t-shirt that you can wear while on the roller coaster. You as an individual can purchase one yourself or you can purchase one for the whole family. The effects of this t-shirt are great because you will have a chance to pose for a photograph on the roller coaster, which you can purchase at the end of your ride. This brings attraction to the ride because of its ride experience and the merchandise we have available for this particular attraction. The neon color tube sticks contribute right into the theming of “Neonland” with its neon bright colors. The neon color tube sticks will be similar to the “wand” at the Harry Potter attraction. This will give people memorabilia of the park and a great hand tool when you are enjoying rides. While you are on your ride, you will have the opportunity to raise your arms and wave your tube sticks which will feel personal and look great for theming and color purposes. These will also be able to be seen during the day do their high volume of neon, we want everyone to have a chance at receiving the best experience not just at night.   Caricature drawings are great gifts for friends and families. This brings the artistry into the park along with laughter and joy. Each caricature drawing will be done in any neon color of your choice, not just your typical black ink. We want you to personalize the color and this will separate us from any other caricature drawing that takes place at theme parks.  The guest will also have the opportunity to paint on any of these items such as key chains, wristbands, small pottery and paper. We want to try and make our guests experience as personal and creative as possible. We want our guests to create their personal merchandise with a twist of their experience and fun. These items will become more prestige and valued because they create them themselves. Our ultimate experience of “Neonland” is creativity and color and this is a great way to express that.
